We did further discussion regarding the topic that i chose. Which is about the issue regarding Food packaging for Color Vision Deficiency and discussing about the form section 4 and 7 (image below).

And we also did exercise about 6 Honest Man (Who, What, Why, When, Where, and How) that can help with our research paper. Here is the question that I did.

1. What – what it the impact of color combination toward  Color Vision Deficiency (CVD) people?

2. Who – who is Color Vision Deficiency people ?

3. Why – why should company consider CVD packaging design friendly?

4. When – when CVD people usually find troubles with color combination?

5. Where – where can CVD friendly design be applied?

6. How – how does CVD affect the lifestyle activities?

Mind Map #week 3

I have two topics for further research

1.Relation of food advertisement with obesity

As there is an issue that’s happening in UK about how certain food advertisement is banned in children media. Food that’s high in Fat, Sugar and Salt (HFSS) is banned for children below 16. It’s believed that the advertisement has caused the obesity rate of children higher.

2.Illustrated and Photography image food packaging

It’s believed that illustration has become the current design style. Photography (real image), Typography, and Illustration has each own different role for packaging design. But some products have been using either Typography with Photography or Typography with Illustration. As some sources mention that Illustration is the current design style, does it mean Photography has become outdated for specifically in food packaging?

Topic Proposed #week 1

These are my first topic proposal
1. Junk food addiction

As we are in a millennial era, people prefer to consume something easy and quick without really paying attention to its nutritional value. They tend to indulge themselves without knowing the knowledge on how it affects our body and the reason why it’s addictive.

2. Social media impact on food industry

This topic is about on the impact of social media on food industry. That by using social media it can change consumer behavior and affect the current food trends flow.

3. How visual affect human taste perception

This topic is about how visual can influence human psychology. By playing with visual aspect, our perception regarding the taste of food can be changed.

4. Illustration role in the industry

This topic is about how the illustration works in the industry. How illustrative design affect consumer behavior. As there are company that’s been using illustrative image to market their products.

5. Misleading food labels

Although food labels are supposed to tell consumer on the food product, sometimes the labels are just to promote the product to make it sounds healthier than what it truly is. As the product with healthier label attracts more of consumer attention. By playing words such as ‘whole grain’, ‘all natural’,which in the ingredient list it contains none of it or just a minimum amount. Which in consumer point of view, the company are resorting to deceit to market their products.
